Is deze kast roze met wit of toch blauw met grijs?

We herinneren ons allemaal waarschijnlijk nog wel het fenomeen van ‘De Jurk’. Een meisje uit Amerika postte zo’n twee jaar geleden een foto van een jurk die voor een eindeloze disscussie zorgde op het internet. De grote vraag die iedereen zich afvroeg: ‘is de jurk nou goud met wit of is die zwart met blauw van kleur? Iedereen zag het weer anders en niemand kon het met elkaar eens worden. 

Nu is er dus nog een variant opgedoken, namelijk: deze ladekast.

Dilemma
Sinds het grote dilemma met ‘De Jurk’, die uiteindelijk zwart met blauw bleek te zijn, is er nu een nieuw raadsel opgedoken. Bij deze ladekast vragen de mensen zich af of-ie nou wit met roze óf toch blauw met grijs? Of zie jij toch een andere kleurencombinatie in deze kledingkast? Wees gerust, want ook dat is blijkbaar een mogelijkheid als we alle reacties onder de betreffende foto mogen geloven.

A photograph of the cabinet was uploaded to Reddit by user agamiegamer, who asked people on the forum: ‘What colour do you see?’. Others on the forum reported seeing a number of different colour combinations, including blue and grey, white and pink, as well as blue and pink. Despite the variety of suggestions, the Reddit user who shared the picture later confirmed that the drawers are in fact painted grey and blue. But some remained unconvinced, with one person commenting: ‘Well it’s definitely pink and white, but the lighting makes the white appear light blue but anybody with a brain can tell it’s actually white.’ Others said they saw mint and white, with one person saying they thought the drawers were green and purple.  Some have suggested that the original photograph has been manipulated using photoshop to create the optical illusion. One Reddit user described how he re-adjusted the colour balance in order to match the whiteboard on the dresser, which he said proved the chest was blue and grey The debate comes after ‘The Dress’ caused a storm online in 2015 over whether the garment was blue and black or white and gold. In the first week after it was posted more than 10 million tweets mentioned the dress, using hashtags like #thedress, #whiteandgold and #blackandblue. The dress, made by by Roman Originals, was actually blue and black.

De échte kleur
Iedereen is weer compleet in rep en roer, maar er is toch maar één antwoord de juiste. Kijk nog maar eens goed naar de foto, want de échte kleuren van deze ladekast zijn blauw en grijs! Ook wij hadden hier grote moeite mee en zaten we er compleet naast, maar volgens gebruikers van Amerikaans forum Reddit, waar de foto op staat, is de kast toch echt blauw met grijs. Laat ons weten in de reacties welke kleur jullie in deze ladekast zien. Wij zijn erg benieuwd!
